Thigh Lift

INNER THIGH LIFT SURGERY £2500-3700

Do you have realistic expectations for the thigh lift surgery? It can enhance your appearance and self confidence. But it won’t change your looks to match your ideal or cause other people to treat you differently. Before you decide to have thigh lift surgery, think carefully about your expectations and discuss them with your plastic surgeon.

To reduce excess skin on your inner thigh skin, an inner thigh lift abroad could be the right option for you. It’s important to be physically healthy, psychologically stable and realistic in your expectations. Your age is not a major consideration. The best time to consider the procedure is after you have stabilized your weight through diet and exercise.

What’s involved in an inner thigh lift abroad with us?

HOW MUCH IS THIGH LIFT SURGERY?

With us, an inner thigh lift is around £2500-3700.

THE OPERATION

Before your thigh lift surgery, your surgeon will mark the areas where the procedure will be performed. The incision for this procedure begins somewhere in the front groin and proceeds around your inner thigh onto your buttocks.

If your loose skin is excessive, a vertical wedge of skin can also be removed along the inner thigh, this way horizontal and vertical skin tightening is allowed. The vertical excision also leaves a vertical scar extending from the inner groin down toward the inner knee. The vertical wedge excision is an infrequently performed part of thigh lifts.

THIGH LIFT RECOVERY: POST WEIGHT LOSS OP COURSE

1st night – you’ll remain at the clinic and wear a special compression bandage. If the drains are placed, they’ll be removed in 1-3 days.

2 weeks – you can return to everyday activities, avoiding strong physical efforts.

4 weeks – you may slowly resume exercise. Bruising and swelling will dissipate within 1-2 months.

4-6 weeks – you should wear garments afterwards to achieve good results. After a month, you don’t need to wear this at night.

6 months – your final result will be seen after your scars have matured, around this point. Bruising and inflammation is common, but will disappear in time.

Your newly tightened inner thigh skin will loosen slowly in response to gravity. In 10 years, you might need more work on your inner thigh area. If you lose weight, your skin may become lax, and you may be ready for another lift sooner.

HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER THE WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY?

You will probably feel tired and painful, especially in 1–3 days after the surgery. You will be given some painkillers and tablets for reducing the swelling. The surgeon will also prescribe antibiotics as a prevention of any potential infection.

Because of the general anaesthetic, you might feel some of the following after your thigh lift abroad:

  • unhappy
  • stressed
  • constipated

IS THE THIGH LIFT RECOVERY PAINFUL?

Recovery can be painful. However, when you will be leaving the clinic you will be prescribed painkillers by the surgeon. You will probably feel:

  • discomfort
  • swelling
  • heaviness
  • numbness

ARE THERE ANY RISKS TO THE SURGERY?

Liposuction carries slightly higher risk for individuals with some medical problems, or those who’ve recently had surgery near the area to be contoured.

However, the specific risks and the suitability of liposuction for a given individual can be determined only at the time of consultation. Minor complications that don’t affect the outcome occur occasionally. Major complications are rare.
